Andhra Style Prawn Fry

Ingredients:
500 gm. Prawns, cleaned and de-veined
2- Onions, finely sliced
3- Garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp. Ginger - Green chili paste
1 ½ tsp. Red chili powder
¼ tsp. Turmeric powder
1 tsp. Coriander powder
½ tsp. Saunf powder
2 tbsp. Coconut, grated
½ tsp. Garam masala powder
1 tbsp. Lemon juice
Salt to taste
12-15 Curry leaves
2 tbsp. Oil


Method:
1. Marinate the prawns in ginger green chili paste, 1 tsp. red chili powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice and salt for 10 minutes.
2. Add 1/4 cup of water to the marinated prawns and bring to a boil, reduce to medium flame cook for 6-8 minutes. Turn off heat and drain the excess water.
3. Heat oil in a pan, add garlic and saute for half a minute.  
4. Add sliced onions and curry leaves and saute till the onions turn a light brown in color.
5. Add the cooked prawns, ½ tsp. chili powder, saunf powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder and stir fry for 3 minutes.
6.  Add the grated coconut and saute for 3 minutes.  
7. Serve hot with rice and sambar.
