Squid Manchurian

Ingredients:
For the squids:
200 gm. Squids
1 cup- All-purpose flour
1 tsp. Red chili powder
Salt to taste
Water – as required
Oil for deep frying.
For the sauce:
2- Onions, finely chopped
2 tbsp. Oil
1 inch size- Ginger, crushed
2- Green chilies, chopped
¼ cup- Soya sauce
¼ cup- Tomato ketchup
1 tsp. Corn flour, dissolve in ½ cup of water
Salt to taste
1 tsp. Lemon juice
Fresh Coriander for garnishing

Method: 

1. Clean and cut the squids to ring shapes. Set aside.
2. In a small bowl, sift the all-purpose flour and add red chili powder, salt, water and mix well to form a smooth thick batter of flowing consistency. The batter should not be too watery.
3. Heat the oil in a pan.
4. Dip and immerse the squids one by one into the prepared batter to coat them completely. Fry them in the oil until golden brown.
5. Remove the squids and drain the excess oil in a kitchen tissue.
6. Heat the 2 tbsp. oil in a pan and saute the onions until transparent.
7. Add the ginger, salt, green chilies, soya sauce and tomato ketchup mix well.
8. Put fried squids into the prepared sauce.
9. Then add corn flour water.
10. Cook and mix them all together in a medium flame for a minute.
11. Garnish with chopped fresh coriander and lemon juice.
12. Serve the Squid Manchurian immediately with Fried rice.
